We are recruiting an API Maintainer to support a major insurance SaaS product. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong engineer to take ownership of the stability, performance, security and ongoing enhancement of business-critical APIs used across a modern insurance technology platform.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and improving RESTful APIs, monitoring integrations, resolving incidents, supporting releases, and working closely with software engineering, product, QA and DevOps teams. You will help ensure high availability, strong documentation standards, secure data exchange, and reliable service performance for internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities:

• Maintain, monitor and support APIs powering a large-scale insurance SaaS platform.
• Troubleshoot production issues, integration failures and performance bottlenecks.
• Implement fixes, patches and minor enhancements in line with business priorities.
• Collaborate with developers, platform engineers and product teams to deliver stable releases.
• Ensure APIs meet security, compliance and data governance requirements.
• Create and maintain clear technical documentation, runbooks and support procedures.
• Review logs, metrics and alerts to proactively identify service risks.
• Support versioning, change control and backward compatibility across API services.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of monitoring, automation and operational resilience.

Qualifications:
