We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Waste Refuse Operative to join a busy waste collection and environmental services team. This role involves the safe and efficient collection, loading and handling of household, commercial or recyclable waste in line with company procedures and health and safety standards.

The successful candidate will work as part of a crew, supporting daily refuse and recycling rounds, maintaining high standards of customer service and helping to keep local communities clean and safe.

Key responsibilities:

• Collect household, commercial and recyclable waste from designated routes.
• Load refuse and recycling materials safely onto collection vehicles.
• Assist drivers and team members with daily operational tasks.
• Follow all health and safety, manual handling and environmental procedures.
• Report any hazards, incidents, contamination issues or missed collections promptly.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions and carry out physically demanding duties.
• Provide courteous and professional service to members of the public.
• Support depot cleanliness and vehicle checks where required.
